It is extremely frustrating, I can’t help it. This is my day-to-day reality, and I have to tell. Because, after Michael Newton’s recent death, we have no one left working seriously to bring more light to this scene. Yes, his legacy is invaluable, but I doubt all regressionists that have been trained following his method are carrying out the same rigorous study to try and clarify even more how the spiritual world works. Yesterday I was reading a chapter from his fourth book, Memories of the Afterlife, which in reality is written by other therapists, and the influence of the New Age on the patient’s beliefs was obvious. At least, the LBL session proved the patient had misinterpreted certain concepts.
On the other hand, not even researchers such as Dr. Jim Tucker seem to contribute anything new. His latest article is about James Leininger, as if this case were not known by the general public. And though I see considerable movement in the field of NDE’s, I don’t see any advancement in regards to reincarnation from the scientific point of view. All the work that Ian Stevenson did is being gradually forgotten, and anyway his conclusions are somewhat obsolete and are not applicable to the modern world, even when this fact seems to go unnoticed to the so-called "Stevensonian researchers".
Every other day, I keep encountering people that think they know a lot about reincarnation because they have studied it in spiritualist sources. And then we have the devastating panorama in Reincarnation Forum, the oldest and supposedly more serious forum on the English-speaking internet, but one that is terribly moderated and seems to be directed to a child audience, as it is forbidden to talk about serious subjects like suicide. It is a pity, because I am very fond of that forum. However, to keep posting there is a waste of time. In it, apart from the constant presence of beginner users that don’t seem to think much by themselves, there are also religious people who believe in reincarnation but don’t want to discard yet all the unfounded beliefs they have been told. So they are determined to fit all teachings together, while on the other hand they keep preaching and trying to convince the unwary of what is right according to their beliefs, without letting them explore other, newest paths before. These “unwary people” are nothing less than transsexuals with suicidal thoughts, very angered towards other people’s sayings on their condition they have had to bear from childhood, the role of God in the matter and what they must do about it, that is, accept it without further ado. People that wonder about very important questions such as whether they chose to be born that way, or whether the soul has gender, and nearly the only answer they get is from a Christian who wants to believe in reincarnation but barely has past life memories, and who sends them to a Wikipedia link about Christianity and gender issues. Just like that, as if this is going to resolve something. As if there were not different, more sensible ways to approach this problem from the reincarnationist theories. Seeing is believing. And yes, I admit it, sometimes I run out of patience. It is not the first time I complain about events happening in that forum. Thank goodness I am learning to keep calm.
Seriously, I have strong desires to isolate myself from the world and write for myself. My opinions, my books, my personal experience, my different way of seeing reincarnation, are not going to change anything. People in general don’t want to listen, don’t want to see it for themselves. I see it over and over again: people love to discuss the theory of reincarnation, but nearly no one has practice. And if there is someone with practice, they are ignored. In my mind hypotheses that go beyond what I see in most places are being forged constantly, but if I have the idea of mentioning something, either not a word is uttered, or they take it as simple beliefs, or I am personally attacked because something I have said breaks down their preconceptions (this happens to me mainly when the other person belongs to a religion, and science sometimes also falls into this category). That is how things work, it is time I accept it. Even my spirit guide has advised me to stop fighting. But as a good friend of mine said to me, to stop fighting is not the solution. We have to keep fighting but in a different way. So here I am, trying to find out what new approach I can give to all this, what new strategies I can use. That is why, little by little, my determination to speak more in depth about my experience and nurture this new blog, grows.
Then I decided to take a break and I started to read about other subject that interests me a lot, because, as much as it may seem, no, reincarnation is not everything in my life. Suddenly I encountered an expression that I liked very much and gave me the answer I was looking for. Not in vain the author, Lucía Martínez, a dietitian/nutritionist, has a very similar style to mine (and she also receives constant blows from her detractors). She wrote:
And I smiled. “Speaking of synchronicity...”, I thought, as this subject has been present in my mind in the last few weeks. I think this expression can also be applied to the world of reincarnation. This is reaching a point that is not normal... and I can’t stop now. Obviously, there will always be people who won’t like my opinions or my way of seeing things. If that is the case, I recommend them all to calm down, as I am not going to keep quiet. Never. The reincarnation world is full of myths and stupid beliefs that have no grounds. We are very few, those who really know of what we are talking about, against a great majority stupefied by religions and pseudo-religions. A majority think that reincarnation will always be a matter of beliefs and it is impossible to go beyond, it is impossible to have a scientific and rational vision of reality. I opine all the contrary: I am sure that this is the path to bring common sense to reincarnation and who knows if, in the future, to be able to prove it. That future may still be too faraway, but in the meanwhile, we can do many things. Those of us who remember past lives and are fed up of people telling us how reincarnation works, can’t let so many myths and false beliefs swarm on the internet as if nothing were wrong.
My mission is to destroy myths, to finish off so many taboos. My mission is to speak out until I have no more to say. My mission is to be radical. As happens to all these dietitians/nutritionists that want to change the world, called “the Taliban of Nutrition” by the Spanish food industry, I am going to be “the Taliban of Reincarnation”. But, of course, a Taliban with the appropriate weapons: evidence and good arguments.
Or maybe not, who knows. It all depends on my mood and first I have to beat this apathy that the Christmas season brings me every year.
the questions run too deep
for such a simple man.
Won't you please, please tell me what we've learned
I know it sounds absurd
but please tell me who I am.
I said now watch what you say or they'll be calling you a radical,
a liberal, oh fanatical, criminal.
Won't you sign up your name, we'd like to feel you're
acceptable, respectable, oh presentable, a vegetable!
