MY PAST LIVES
Rebel Irish hunter, feudal subject in 14th century.
I was born in Galway (Ireland), possibly in the last quarter of 13th century. I don't remember my family's name, but I do remember the fights with other folks or clans were constant since we were small. Pillages, fires, men dying, women kidnapped and raped.
I was the youngest of two siblings. Our cabin was very humble. Our father taught us to survive. I knew how to handle the bow and the sling, and one of my greatest feats was to hunt a big male deer alongside my brother Gareth.
I always had the feeling our land had been usurped. We lived under the yoke of a feudal lord who mistreated his subjects. Soldiers frequently came to our villages, to steal from us the little hunt we had obtained.
One day our mother was taken away and we never heard of her again. Gareth got married and moved to another village. My father died. I also got married and had a son. I refused to see them taking advantage of our work, especially when my wife barely had milk in her breasts to feed our son. I robbed a few sheep to eat. Because of that, they retaliated and began to threaten and chase me. They eventually killed my son. My wife died shortly after. I decided the culprit had to pay for it.
I missed the mark. They came after me and captured me. After the celebration of a trial that was no more than a farse, I was condemned to die by hanging. I must have been around thirty years old. This could have happened in 1312.
